Degraded agricultural land among limestone rocks to ridgetop of exposed limestone under light canopy with many epiphytes and lithophytes on north and east facing slopes, at 23°06′57″N, 105°01′48″E, at 514-900 m. Lithophytic. Inflorescence scape dull red-purple, pedicel deep purple, tepals dull red-brown, rostellum yellow, bright yellow on lip, light purple on tip. Rare.

Secondary forest on top of ridge on eroded granite soils (22ø02'31"N, 103ø58'32"E - 22ø02'57"N, 103ø58'35"E) at elev. 700-1113 m. Terrestrial herb on mid-slope at base of trees. Leaves light green with darker green spots, some plantlets at sinus of leaf, outer petals light yellow brown, streaked in red-purple, upright petal yellow-brown, white at base with red-purple spots, rostellum streaked in red-purple, tipped in yellow.

S. Vietnam, Prov. Lam Dong, distr. Lac Duong, municipalite Da Chay, in 29-31 km to NNE from Dalat city. Old open secondary dry coniferous mt forest with domination of Pinus kesiya at 1550-1700 m alt. in 8-10 km from Bi Dup main peak to the W (N 12° 07', E 108° 36'). Epiphyte mostly on Lyonia and Lithocarpus. Tepals pale green, lip pale green with light pink tint, margin of sidelobes black-purple, column green, anther yellow. Not rare.

Vientiane Prov., Kasi Distr., Thong Mout village, Pudang Ridge, around point 19°23′33.7”N 102°08′05.7”E. Remnants of primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on mountain tops composed with shale at elevation 1950-2000 m. Creeping epiphyte on tall mossy trees. Old flowers purplish. Abundant.

Secondary broad-leaved evergreen and semideciduous dry forest with on very steep rocky mountain slopes composed by solid marble like highly eroded limestone at elev. 650-750 m a.s.l. Creeping epiphyte on mossy trees on rocky mountain top. Not common. LA-VN 1544 22 March 2017

Primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on very steep rocky slopes of remnant mountain composed with highly eroded solid crystalline limestone at elevations 1500-1750 m. Creeping epiphyte on mossy trees near top of mountain. Sepals and lip dark brown-purple, petals white. Not common. LA-VN 802 24 March 2013

S. Vietnam, Prov. Lam Dong, distr. Lac Duong, municipalite Da Chay, in 29-31 km to NNE from Dalat city. Old open secondary dry coniferous mt forest with domination of Pinus kesiya at 1550-1700 m alt. in 8-10 km from Bi Dup main peak to the W (N 12° 07', E 108° 36'). Epiphyte mostly on Lyonia and Lithocarpus. Tepals pale green, lip pale green with light pink tint, margin of sidelobes black-purple, column green, anther yellow. Not rare.
