Paphiopedilum helenae Aver.

Lang Son Province, Bac Son District. Secondary scrub and secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest on remnant limestone hills composed with highly eroded solid crystalline limestone at elevation 600-700 m a.s.l. Lithophytic rosulate herb on cliffs near hill top. Flowers uniform yellow, median sepal with brown at the basal third, sometime with unclear white margin. Presently very rare.
