Lai Chau Province, Muong Te District, Mu Ca Commune. Highly degraded secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest along rocky stream on stratified shale and granite on steep mountain slope at elevation of about 500 m a.s.l. around point 22º24’42’’N 102º24’35’’E. Terrestrial and lithophytic herb to 1 m tall on steep wet shady rocky stream slope near water. Flowers rich yellow, center bright red. Common.
