N. Vietnam, prov. Cao Bang, distr. Bao Lac, municipality Yen Lac, vicinities of Yen Lac village (N 22°44′ E 105°50′), about 44 km to NWW from Cao Bang town. Primary open coniferous mossy forest along tops of limestone remnant karst ridge at 1500 m alt. Terrestrial and epilite herb in shadow rock crevices along wet canyons. Leaves deep brownish-green with central white stripe. Not rare.

Primary mixed and coniferous forest (with Dacrydium elatum and Dacrycarpus imbricatus) on very steep rocky slope and on rocky top of remnant mountain composed with highly eroded solid crystalline limestone at elevation 750-800 m a.s.l. Creeping terrestrial herb on steep shady rocky slope near to mountain top. Leaves dark velvety-green with white median stripe. Occasional.

Primary wet broad-leaved evergreen and semideciduous mossy forest along remnant limestone highly eroded ridge at elev. 1300-1450 m a.s.l. Lithophytic creeping herb in shady very steep slope. Leaves brown-green with medial white stripe above, pink-violet beneath. Common.

Primary closed evergreen broad-leaved submontane forest with Fokienia hodginsii on steep granite and quartzite slopes at elev. 1250-1350 m a.s.l. Terrestrial creeping herb in shady place. Leaves velvety deep-green, with median longitudinal white stripe. Occasional.

Hoa Binh, Mai Chau District, Hang Kia Municipality; near Pa Co municipal buildings, trail west to one of tallest peak in Pa Co; trail from building approx. 2 km, then up ridge. Collections from highly impacted forest close to logging, all large valuable trees removed and no valuable orchids left. Forest on limestone between 20.45.37 N, 104.53.37 E, 1344m to peak at 20.45.41

Heavily logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest on slopes and tops of mountains composed with solid highly eroded crystalline limestone at elev. about 900-1150 m a.s.l. Lithophytic creeping herb on steep slopes and vertical cliffs. Leaves deep green to deep brown-black with median white stripe. Locally common.

Slightly logged primary closed evergreen coniferous forest (with Calocedrus rupestris) on steep slopes and tops of rocky ridge composed with solid marble-like highly eroded stratified crystalline limestone at elevation about 800-900 m a.s.l. Terrestrial and lithophytic creeping herb. Leaves very deep green with 1 (3) white nerves. Not common.

On degraded limestone mountain with rocky outcrops and few large Pinus kwangtungensis trees; area surrounded by cultivated fields, somewhat logged of largest most valuable trees; a limestone substrate from approx. 1250-1375 m. 20°46'50"N 104°47'45"E 1375 m Rare; lithophytic; just below ridge; in deep shade; leaves dark green with white stripe along midrib; abaxial surface pink; stems green with pink; fruit pink with brown.

Terrestrial creeping forb in shady places. Leaves velvety pale green with median whitish stripe. Rare.

S. Vietnam, Prov. Kon Tum, Distr. Dak Gley, about 10 km to N of Dak Gley town, between Dak Nen and Mang Khen (Dak Che) villages. Secondary evergreen mountain forest rich in primary elements at 800-900 m alt.
Herb about 20-30 cm high. In deep wet places. Leaves above deep velvetly green with central brightly white strip. Rare.

Peduncle speckled red-purple, pedicel orange-yellow, upper tepals orange-yellow at base with red spots on lobes, lower tepals deep red inside, rostellum orange-deep red and orange medially. Locally very common.
