Broad-leaved evergreen wet secondary closed forest along rocky river valley and on river slopes. Creeping epiphyte on high trees. Rare. HLF 1582a 2 May 2003 Coll. N.T.Hiep, L.Averyanov, N.T.Vinh et al. Grant from Henry Luce Foundation. Flowered under cultivation in Aug. 2012. Flowers dull yellow, lateral sepals inside with irregular dirty-violet marks along margins, column and operculum yellow. L. Averyanov.
