Northern Vietnam, Lao Cai Prov., Van Ban Distr., Khanh Yen Ha municipality, to the SW of Na Nheo village (in the vicinity of point 21ш57'26''N, 104ш13'00''E). Primary evergreen broad-leaved montane forest along granite/quartzite ridge at elev. 2200-2400 m a.s.l. Treelet up to 12 m hg. Flowers light pink-violet with deep violet spot at the base of tube. Very common. Usual co-dominant of third forest stratum.
