Secondary evergreen broad-leaved lowland and submontane forest on mountain stream slopes composed with sandstone at elevations 500–600 m a.s.l. Terrestrial and lithophytic herb to 0.5 m tall on open wet stream rocks. Flowers yellow with orange and red. Locally abundant.
