Vietnam, Ha Giang Prov., Bac Me Distr., Phieng Luong Municipality, around Phieng Luong village about 4 km to SW of Phieng Luong Municipality headquarter 22°39'29"N, 105°19'35"E. Slightly logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest on slopes of remnant mountains composed with solid highly eroded crystalline and partially shale limestone at elev. about 1200 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb on shady slope. Not common. No HAL 6452a 4 March 2005.
