Son La Moc Chau district, Van Ho municipality, Hua Tat village. On degraded limestone mountain, with rocky outcrops and some large Pinus kwangtungensis trees; surrounded by cultivated fields, somewhat logged of largest, most valuable trees; on limestone substrate from 1250-1375 m elevation. 20°46'18"N 104°47'45"E 1250 - 1375 m
