S. Vietnam, Prov. Lam Dong, distr. Lac Duong, municipalite Da Chay, 40 km to NE from Dalat city. Closed primary very wet broadleaved forest along stream canyon on SW macroslope of Hon Giao mt. ridge at 1600-1700 m alt. (N 12° 11', E 108° 43'). Tree up to 15 m hg. Common. Sometimes codominante of 1 forest stratum at 1600-2050 m alt. on SW macroslope and along tops of the ridge. No VH 4394 26.04.1997 International Botanical Expedition of the U.S.A.
